Dr. Haslam is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement. His particular interests are knee and shoulder injuries, including ACL injuries, meniscus tears, knee arthritis and rotator cuff tears. He provides team physician services for all athletes within Frisco Lone Star High School Athletic Department. Dr. Haslam has received multiple awards including Best Basic Science Paper Award (Queen's University, Department of Surgery), Excellence in Surgical Teaching Award (Queen's University, Faculty of Medicine), Excellence in Teaching Award (Queen's University, Faculty of Medicine) and Teaching Award (Baylor Scott & White Family Medicine Residency Program).
He is honored to be listed as D Magazine’s Best Doctor (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018) and Best Doctor in Collin County (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2026).
Dr. Haslam is the official journal reviewer for “Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery “. He is the Chief of Surgery and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics and Neurosurgery at BSW Medical Center Centennial. He is an adjunct faculty member at the BUMC Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Haslam is also a renowned international presenter of research and an author of multiple research publications.
Outside of work, Dr. Haslam enjoys spending time with his wife and six children. He enjoys football, pickleball and mastering his pit barbeque skills.
Dr. Haslam provided sports medicine court coverage during the 2025 Women’s USA Volleyball Tournament in Arlington, Texas. This tournament hosted team USA, Canada, China, Dominican Republic Germany and Thailand.
