Pre-operative DIEP education class

This educational session will review pre‑operative, post‑operative, and discharge goals and expectations, help you recognize and prevent post‑operative complications, and connect you with support resources. You will also receive a guided tour of the hospital to help you prepare for your upcoming procedure and hospital stay.

Classes are offered every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 1:00PM - 2:00PM.

Only a small number of plastic surgeons are trained in DIEP flap reconstruction. We offer a complete team, including surgeons on the medical staff who are highly skilled and experienced in this procedure. They have extensive training in microsurgical reconstruction, which uses special microscopes and instruments to carefully connect tiny blood vessels for successful tissue transfer.
