At Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s, our child development specialists help evaluate young children (from birth to age 6) for developmental and behavioral problems, including autism spectrum disorder. To get started, the primary care provider needs to send a referral.
Our team works closely with other experts—like psychologists, psychiatrists, teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and ABA therapists—to create a treatment plan that fits the child’s unique needs.
We help with:
- Developmental problems linked to genetic conditions
- Learning challenges and school-related concerns for children up to age 6 years
- Developmental delays in babies and preschoolers
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) evaluations
- Behavioral and developmental issues related to health problems or anxiety
