Biography
Dr. Gregory Sprowls is an Orthopedic surgeon at Baylor Scott & White Health and is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction. A former four-sport athlete, Dr. Sprowls played Quarterback at Sam Houston State where he was part of the 2011 FCS National Championship runner-up team. He then completed medical school and Orthopedic Surgery residency at Texas A&M / Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas. He was accepted to the prestigious Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction, where he trained under the nation’s leading sports and shoulder surgeons. He has experience providing surgical care and sideline coverage for Clemson University football, Colorado Rockies baseball, and the minor league affiliate for the Boston Red Sox. He is currently also a team physician for UMHB and Lake Belton HS football & athletics.
Dr. Sprowls specializes in arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, & knee, as well as ligament & tendon repair / reconstruction (rotator cuff, biceps, UCL (Tommy John), ACL, PCL, etc), meniscus surgery, cartilage restoration, and shoulder replacement surgery. He and his wife have lived in the Temple / Belton area for 10 years now and have three children.
