Dr. Jacob Zide is a native of Fort Worth and graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Zide received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas finishing first in his class. Dr. Zide is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was awarded the Gold Humanism Award in 2007. He completed both his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas. While there, he served as Chief Resident and was awarded the W. Brandon Carrell Distinguished Physician Award. He then completed his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Zide is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. He serves as the Program Director of the Baylor Scott & White Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Zide serves on multiple orthopedic committees at a local and national level. He is active in clinical research and is an expert in the management of adolescent foot and ankle deformity.
Dr. Zide has been selected as a Best Doctor in Collin County 2022 and 2026 by D Magazine.
