Johanna Bayer is a Clinical Associate Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine at Texas A&M Health Science Center, Dallas.
Dr. Bayer is the surgical director of transplantation at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth. She is the first female director of transplantation in the history of the Baylor Simmons Transplant Institute. As a multi-organ transplant surgeon, Dr. Bayer’s clinical focus is on living donor kidney transplant and living donor liver transplant. She is also part of the groundbreaking uterus transplant team at Baylor University Medical Center – Dallas. Dr. Bayer is accomplished in robotic nephrectomy – which allows live organ donors to recover quickly with minimal surgical discomfort or scarring.
Dr. Bayer received her transplant surgery training at Baylor University Medical Center after completing her internship and residency at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
