Dr. Bahirwani is fellowship-trained and board certified in transplant hepatology, gastroenterology and internal medicine. Her professional interests include management of patients with end stage liver disease, liver transplantation and hepatocellular carcinoma. Dr. Bahirwani is a committed educator and currently serves as Associate Program Director for the Department of Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & white Health.
She attended medical school at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Bahirwani's internship, residency and fellowships in gastroenterology and in transplant hepatology, took place at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where she was appointed Chief Fellow and Associate Fellowship Program Director of Transplant Hepatology. She joined the faculty and staff of Liver Consultants of Texas at Baylor University Medical Center in 2016.
Dr. Bahirwani enjoys traveling with her family. In her free time, she volunteers providing medical care and other resources to the underserved populations of her community.
