General Neuroradiology
Fellows will complete five months of dedicated training in diagnostic neuroradiology including CT and MRI. Training is supervised with graded autonomy and monitored through regular case log reviews with the Program Director to ensure competency and adequate exposure.
Pediatric Neuroradiology
Fellows will complete a month rotation of pediatric neuroradiology training at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. During this rotation, they will interpret complex brain and spinal cord conditions in children, including congenital malformations, tumors, fMRI, and neurovascular diseases, gaining hands-on experience with both common and rare cases. Fellows will participate in daily readouts with pediatric neuroradiologists and attend didactic lectures.
Spine
Fellows complete two months in spine radiology, focusing on both diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedures. Training includes interpretation of spinal CT and MRI for conditions such as degenerative disease, trauma, and tumors, along with procedures including lumbar punctures and myelograms.
Vascular
Fellows will complete a month of rotation in neurointerventional radiology, focusing on diagnosing and managing cerebrovascular conditions such as stroke, aneurysms, and AVMs. They will interpret vascular imaging and gain hands-on experience with the broad spectrum of neurointerventional and spine procedures.
Head and Neck Radiology
Fellows will complete two months in head and neck radiology, interpreting CT, MRI, and 4D CT scans for cancer, endocrine disorders, and trauma. They will gain experience in staging, post-treatment monitoring, interventional procedures, and neuro-otology imaging, including temporal bone CTs.
Elective
Fellows will complete a one-month elective rotation, selecting from the following options: Neuropathology, which offers exposure to the microscopic evaluation of neurological diseases; Neurointerventional, focusing on advanced endovascular procedures; Research, allowing fellows to pursue academic or clinical projects; Neurology, providing clinical insight into neurological disorders; and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, emphasizing functional recovery and neurorehabilitation strategies.
