The research program associated with this fellowship is designed to provide meaningful cardiovascular research experiences with focus in the areas of lipid management, peripheral artery disease and coronary artery disease. The research experience provides both research and training with a faculty mentor.
Specific research domains include
- Core laboratory analysis
- Precision medicine
- Health disparities
- Large-data analysis
- Clinical trials.
There are opportunities to participate and present at research meetings, seminars, workshops and national conferences.
The fellow will be responsible for overseeing clinical research related to hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular disease, peripheral artery disease.
There will be an opportunity to become a principal investigator and/or apply for related research grants through this fellowship.
