Open Access Program for colonoscopies
The Open Access Program allows healthy patients (no significant gastrointestinal symptoms) to skip the office visit and receive the potentially life-saving procedure. By eliminating this office visit, you save time AND a co-pay.
Program qualifications
- Patients with a strong family history of colon cancer
- Patients between the age of 50-74
- Weight of 350 lbs and under
How to schedule
Once a referral form is submitted, the Open Access Team will review it and contact you to set up a procedure and/or office visit.
Participation in the Open Access Program is contingent upon pre-procedure insurance approval and medical history.

Direct access colonoscopy for colon cancer screening
Thank you for your interest in direct access colonoscopy for colon cancer screening! Colon cancer is the #2 cause of cancer related deaths in our country. It is totally preventable, and you are taking the first step in colon cancer prevention.
Some patients prefer to be scheduled for their colonoscopy without an office visit. If so, this direct colonoscopy program is perfect for you.
These are the exclusion criteria for direct colon cancer screening. If you have any of the below, you will need an office visit to discuss risks vs. benefits of colon cancer screening. A member of our team will contact you to schedule that office visit in advance to your colonoscopy.
- Unstable cardiac disease, defibrillator, recent heart attack
- Use of home oxygen, bipap or cpap
- Hemodialysis
- Active gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, bleeding, unintentional weight loss, nausea/vomiting
- Age < 45 or > 75
- BMI (body mass index) greater than 50 (use a BMI online calculator to determine your BMI)
- Previous problems with anesthesia
Here are the inclusion criteria:
- Age 45-75
- Healthy otherwise or chronic issues stabilized
- No active gastrointestinal issues
- Positive Cologuard
- History of colon polyps
- Family history of colon cancer
