Time off chart

Eligibility

Regular full and part time team members are eligible for the paid time off (PTO) program, except those who are 7 on/7 off, Advance Practice Professionals (APP) shift providers, PRNs, contingent/contract workers, practicing physicians, covered under the tracking-free time off policy (TFTO).

Tracking-free time off (TFTO)

Our tracking-free time off program (TFTO) is a market-leading benefit in healthcare with enhanced freedom and flexibility.

Eligibility

  • Exempt corporate team members1
  • Manager-level and above who are exempt
  • Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs)
  • This program excludes team members who are 7 on/7 off, PRN, Shift Providers, TDA, contingent or contract workers, and physicians

Highlights

  • Eligible team members are provided an annual number of days on Jan. 1 for usage throughout the year, based on years of service.2 See TFTO chart below to learn more (note: log in required).
  • Sick time3 and observed holidays are not deducted from the annual number of available days and are paid as regular salary.
  • Team members request time off from their leader; no coding/tracking necessary. 


1 Corporate defined as those in the following job families:  Community Affairs, Corporate Governance, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources (HR), Informatics, Information Technology (IT), Marketing/Sales, Office/Clerical, Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain as well as employees in company “Baylor Scott & White Health” (999).

2 Time off prorated based on hire date and FTE.

3 If absence extends beyond one week, time off due to illness/injury may be paid under the voluntary STD plan, if coverage elected and the disability claim is approved. 

Practicing physician time off (PPTO)

Physician time off practices are aligned across our Medical Groups and designed to support ease and flexibility in scheduling time away.

  • Sick time3 and observed holidays are not deducted from the annual number of available days and are paid as regular salary.
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) time is not included in PPTO and is a separate benefit.
  • Eligible physicians follow department processes for requesting time off and tracking is managed locally or at the department/leader level.

  • 7 on/7 off team members
  • Advanced practice providers (APP) who are classified as shift providers
